Maton CW80 Natural from 2012 with K&K p/u and hardcase

Painful sale, but I have a problem with my shoulder and can't keep playing a dreadnought sized guitar.

I've had this guitar for about 12 years. It's all solid timber, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fretboard.

I had a K&K pickup system installed, this type of pickup preserves the natural sound of the guitar and sounds very natural plugged in. Nothing like a piezo. I have a Fishman Stage analog preamp that can be included for 1000kr

I am a gigging musician, so this guitar has seen a lot of use. I've always taken good care of it with setups and attention to the frets etc. but there are plenty of marks and some fret wear. Only cosmetic damage. It may need fret replacements within the next decade.

The sound is very unique. While the guitar is designed similar to a Martin D18 it sounds worlds apart. It doesn't have a deep bass, and is very sweet on the treble side. I would say it doesn't appreciate being played too hard and rewards softer strumming and picking with a bright, sweet shimmering sound.

I encourage anyone interested to come play it first to make sure it suits you. I want this to go somewhere it is appreciated. A studio would make great use of this guitar for when its specific tone is needed. When I lived in Australia a local studio was often asking to borrow it even though they had Martins and Gibsons at hand.
