About the bike...

I bought the bike almost new from Cormac Keeney who runs a company that organizes cycling trips in the Sierra Nevada, Spain https://www.sierranevada.cc/

The bike was advertised as follows :

"We needed a bike that would go anywhere and stand up to anything thrown at it. So we designed one for the demands of the Sierra Nevada and had it built by our master frame builder in Asia (our welding is not so good and the guy probably has a lot more experience than your custom hipster frame builder that just started welding last year)."
