My tasks include system maintenance, project management, planning, user support, documentation, implementing new companies to our systems, having a relation to our IT vendors, training, and development for end-users.
A typical day at work starts with overseeing the data systems (Mainly Dynamics 365), talk with users who have problems with the system and find a way to help them.

My name is Rita Birknes Stendal. I started to work as a cadet in Hordafor AS in 2016. In 2017 I became Chief Officer until I was offered the job as the Captain of M/S Hordafor II in August 2022.
A typical day at work for me is to navigate the ship safely and have close collaboration with our suppliers and the logistic team onshore.
What I like most about my job is sailing along our beautiful coast, stopping at many narrow places. My job gives me many eventful days.

"Not one workdays is the same, My day depends on what raw material we have available»"
My usual tasks are planning and running production. Mixing marinades, spices and monitoring production. I also work with
maintenance in between when we don’t have raw material. I also try to be an active contributor to improvement and development for the factory.
The best part of my job is that it`s not monotonous. We have great variation in the season and are working all year. I also really like that we have common holiday in summer and in Christmas.
