So – what are your skills?

Duties and responsibilities

We are looking for talented structural engineers and senior structural engineers to strengthen our team. The successful candidates will join a dedicated team of structural engineers, with unique possibilities to work with projects from concept development to final product – Shipbuilding A to Z.

  • Lead projects and manage teams within structural discipline.
  • Prepare plans and schedules for undertaking engineering work.
  • Perform structural calculations of ships or marine structures.
  • Solve technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Support designers with input and calculations during the concept-phase
  • Collaborate with Class societies on design approvals.
  • Stay up to date on relevant Class-rules and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc/M.Sc degree in naval architecture, structural engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of structural engineering of ships or marine structures
  • Experience using relevant industry software tools, such as AutoCAD, NAPA Steel, Class rule check software, Sesam/Genie etc.
  • Knowledge of class rules and international ship building standards
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency in Scandinavian language is an advantage.
