VP Operations – Lead Complex Projects at Scale

We are looking for a Vice President Operations – a senior operations leader with a hands-on approach and proven experience from leading contractor organisations. This is a key leadership role in a company driving the energy transition and digital infrastructure of tomorrow.

About the Role

The VP Operations will be responsible for managing and scaling the company’s Nordic project operations. This includes end-to-end delivery of major construction projects with high technical complexity, team leadership, process improvement, and strategic development of operational capabilities. 

Core Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for execution and operational performance across major construction projects

• Build and lead large, multidisciplinary teams with full P&L and delivery accountability

• Drive structure, predictability, and continuous improvement across projects and operations

• Work closely with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery

• Translate strategy into operational execution, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards are met

• Lead change, build culture, and scale the organisation for further growth

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a results-oriented leader with broad experience from large contractor firms, such as construction companies, infrastructure builders, companies in the shipyard, energy, or oil & gas sectors. You must have deep knowledge of execution models, and strong leadership capabilities to lead projects from early phase to handover.

Key Qualifications

• 20+ years of leadership experience in operations, project management, or construction

• Background from contractor side in large companies, shipyard or oil & gas

• Strong understanding of execution, site operations, commercial control, and subcontractor management

• Experience with large, complex building projects – commercial, industrial, public or infrastructure

• Ability to work across borders and manage international teams

• Relevant technical or engineering education 

• Fluent in English
