"De Tre Bukkene Bruse" Original Artwork - Limited Edition Print

DESCRIPTION

The artwork is based on the famous story of "De Tre Bukkene Bruse" well-loved in Norway. The take on the familiar story line has a new turn: the three goats and the troll-mountain are united instead of antagonized. They serve as representatives of nature, lost art of story-telling and the importance of legends, who are taking protective stances against an invisible intruder (hint: humans), threatening their survival.

If looked closely, one can notice that the waterfall could represent tears and sadness from the troll, his fingers-birch branches are cradling the goats protectively. The goats themselves are showing the signs of being ancient through the moss and mushrooms on their horns, also serving as a hint that everything in nature (that we are also part of) is always interconnected.

SIZES and PRICES

The size of the original is 23cm x 30cm. Since the prints are done at a professional studio, they can be arranged at a different size. I do not recommend going much smaller than 75% of the original size as it may affect the details of the work. However, going a bit bigger is quite safe without any loss of quality.
