Job Description:


An Operations Engineer is responsible for setting up and configuring systems for projects, installing software, connecting and testing equipment, and ensuring system quality. They create electrical drawings, taglists, and crane geometry calculations, and design custom mounting brackets. They also generate electrical wiring diagrams, create cable and component tag lists, and handle the picking and packing of equipment. Operations Engineers work closely with other departments to integrate procedures, maintain compliance with standards. Additionally, they provide support for surveys, installations, and commissioning.

 

Key Responsibilities


Main tasks

  • Install the latest Optilift software.
  • Connect all equipment and perform testing.
  • Conduct system quality checks and fill out documentation.
  • Pick and pack equipment for projects.


Secondary tasks

  • Setup system configurations for projects.
  • Prepare electrical drawing packages.
  • Generate and maintain tag-lists.
  • Generate electrical wiring diagrams according to project configurations.
  • Create cable and component tag-lists based on wiring diagrams.


Other potential tasks

  • Perform crane geometry calculations based on GA drawings.
  • Design custom mounting brackets based on survey information. 

Requirements:

  • Electrician or automatician certificate. Work experience may compensate for lack of education.

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Intermediate experience in AutoCAD for electrical wiring diagrams.

Nice to have:

  • Technical College Diploma or Higher Vocational Diploma in electrical/automation Engineering
  • Knowledge on crane geometry calculations.
  • Previous experience to the offshore sector and Ex component applications.
  • Experience with Inventor for 3D bracket design and drawings.
